Commisions

Commissions are currently open! Visit our contact page to request a custom quote. The steps below give you a quick look at how the commission process works and the photos show examples of past work and could be inspiration for your commission.

  • Step 1: Getting in Contact

We will review your request and respond with a full quote and timeline or questions to gain a better understanding of what you'd like.

  • Step 2: Design Approval

All furniture designs will be 3D modeled and sent over for approval before any building begins. This step also includes wood species selection, hardware, etc. for all projects.

  • Step 3: Build Updates

We will stay in touch as your commission is built. Updates will follow a schedule set in the initial timeline. Updates will include progress photos and personal communication.

  • Step 4: Delivery

We are happy to ship small to medium builds across the country. Larger furniture items will be delivered personally. Because of this, we limit furniture commissions to a 100-mile radius from Toledo, OH.

  • Step 5: Enjoy Your Purchase

That's it! We hope you found this process to be enjoyable and rewarding. Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We want you to be happy, so please let us know if something isn't right.

Examples of Past Work

Entryway Table

Visit our Furniture page under Products to purchase this for yourself!

This table is made from solid walnut with maple inlays. It fits great in an office space or an entryway, but could be used anywhere in the home. This was the first piece of custom MonTrees furniture designed and built from scratch and is one of our favorite pieces to this day.

Coffee Bar

Visit our Furniture page under Products to purchase this for yourself!

This coffee bar was built out of walnut veneered plywood and solid walnut. It was made out of necessity as we were moving into our first home and had little to no furniture to fill it out, but plenty of coffee mugs. It now gets more use than any other piece and is a great addition to any dining/kitchen area.

Dining Table

This dining table is made entirely out of solid walnut. It was by far the largest and most difficult project we've done to date, but it has also been the most rewarding. The table converts into a playing surface for card/board games. One picture truly doesn't do it justice. Check out our pinned video on our Instagram @MonTreesWoodshop

Floating Night Stands

These night stands are made out of solid white oak. We made a pair for our bedroom remodel. It was my first time making a pair of something, but they turned out great! You can view our entire bedroom remodel on our Instagram @MonTreesWoodshop

Coffee Grinder

When you have a coffee bar you need coffee beans. This walnut and maple box jointed piece uses an antique coffee grinder to grind coffee beans for fresh brewed coffee. The coffee grinder actually works! But it does take some elbow grease, at the end of the day, if it isn't being used to grind beans it does make a great conversation piece.

Pocket Knives

Visit our Knives page under Products to purchase this for yourself!

The great thing about pocket knives are the endless custom options. These are one of our favorite "one off" projects to build. The beauty of a custom pocket knife is second to none. The blades, pins, and wood can all be changed to what best suits you and each knife comes with a removable belt clip to suit your needs.

Dice Box and Tray

These dice boxes and rolling trays make for a perfect gift for anyone who loves board games and/or tabletop RPGS. Because of the smaller size of these boxes you are able to choose just about any wood species you can think of. The one pictured is spalted tamarind, but truly just about anything works.
